# Inventory and export reconciliation

Elkwai Solutions workflow starter · 2026-10-10

Planning example, not a client result or quote. Nothing is sent or purchased. Do not include passwords or confidential records.

## The problem

- Two exports look similar but disagree about quantities, identifiers or covered locations. A recent file may still contain stale business records.

## Simpler alternatives

- Prefer the native reconciliation or supported ERP connector when it provides identity and exception history. Compare files by stable keys before commissioning a custom synchronization.

## Inputs

- Before and after exports with stable record identifiers
- Location and unit definitions, cutoff dates and expected coverage
- Rules for blank values, duplicates and tolerated numeric differences

## Delivery sequence

- Inspect identifiers and quality before comparing the versions.
- Run a bounded CSV comparison and separate unmatched records from changed values.
- Review ambiguous duplicates and units rather than merging them automatically.
- Export a reconciliation receipt; scope a production update only when its business effect is defined.

## Acceptance

- Unmatched, duplicate and changed records remain distinguishable.
- The receipt retains the versions and comparison assumptions.
- No inventory write or order occurs from a comparison tool.

## Measure

- Reconciled records and unresolved identifiers
- Missing location coverage and stale content
- Correction time and repeated update effects

## Full cost consideration

- Account for mapping, review, reconciliation time, connector operation and the cost of an incorrect stock update. Software and a live ERP connection are different purchases.

## Tools available now

- Compare small CSV exports: https://elkwai.com/compare-csv-files.html
- Check supplied coverage metadata: https://elkwai.com/data-feed-health-checker.html

Tools do not automatically transfer data or execute a production integration.

## Separate buying paths

- Data Workbench: $49 per edition / $73.50 bundle. https://elkwai.com/data-workbench
One-time software; custom rules and integrations are separate.
- Data Cleanup & Import Studio: $69 one time. https://elkwai.com/data-cleanup-studio
Software for defined import preparation, not an automatically connected enterprise pipeline.
- Data workflow pilot: $299 introductory, stated scope only. https://elkwai.com/data-workflow-audit
Specialized cloud integration, more sources, production hosting and larger implementations require their own quote.
