Region coordinates refer to decoded image pixels. Output is an opaque PNG; transparency and original metadata are not retained.
Method and limitations
Names, locations, credentials, confidential terms and many personal identifiers are not automatically detected. Add exact phrases and inspect all remaining content. Redact or Keep every candidate before export.
JSON redaction replaces a complete selected field, even when only part matched. Numbers become null; selected keys get unique neutral names. Other raw numeric values remain unchanged. CSV is reserialized and formula-leading cells are escaped. TXT replaces selected overlapping spans.
PNG/JPEG output is rebuilt from visible pixels on a white background, with opaque black rectangles and no source metadata. There is no automatic image text detection. PDF, Office files, archives, animation and binary text are not supported.
No originals, source filenames or matched text are included in hash receipts. Review exported copies before sharing. Redaction does not erase the originals, browser memory, caches or backups. This toolkit does not certify anonymity, confidentiality or legal compliance.
